Current mood:

hopeful
I feel your hands reach around me
I lean back into your embrace
My head rests on your chest
Your breath is warm on my cheek
As you kiss me softly
Your hands travel lower
I feel you caress our child
That grows inside me
I close my eyes
And think of all the years
That brought us to this place
There have been times of loneliness
For you and for me
But ever since our souls met
We knew the ache of being alone
Would cease to harm us
We never assumed that love like this could exist
Or that we would be pledging today
To spend the rest of our lives together
The butterflies stir in my stomach
Each time I pick up the phone to call you
The thought of hearing your voice for the first time
Sends chills down my spine
I dial the number again
But hang up as it starts to ring
I'm not sure if I want to take the leap
To find out if this one is for me
I dial one more time
And pray for your voicemail to pick up
Looking for a man
Is like throwing darts at a board
Blindfolded
Hit or miss is the name of the game
I try them on like jeans
In the dressing room of life
I toss them aside when something isn't right
They love my curves but I hate their length
I love their color but they hate my hips
Does one exist that complements me?
